Do you know of situations where people may be in love but have no food to eat? They may be jobless, in school and depend on parents, and hail from disadvantaged families. Love is more than you can comprehend.
What Love is and what it’s not? Love is not a feeling but a serious life commitment. It is engaging beyond rational thinking rather than emotional. It is a decision between two people to love each other genuinely without wearing masks. It is caring and choosing the joy of the other person over your own. Love is about staying on, building not destroying, hanging on even when the loving feeling is missing Peck (1998). True love is about exercising a strong will to stand on your principles to love the person unconditionally. True love is the ability to say no if another person throws eyes on you by saying “I feel like loving you, but am not going to…Am attached and committed. Love is an action and requires wisdom.”
Love is a form of work and not a form of courage. Love is an extension of who we are. True love is nurture and care for another through extending ourselves and not our feelings.
Like a garden, love need to be cultivated and watered.
